College Programme (Higher National Units)

- This Programme extends to over three years including the Foundation Year

- In order to qualify for Higher National Diploma, (HND) a student must have successfully completed 30 group award credits from prescribed course units

First Year

- The Programme is distributed to three semesters, the duration of each semester is 12 weeks.

- The number of teaching Units in this period will be 15.

- After the completion of the Programme the student will be awarded Higher National Certificate(HNC)

A student receives this Certificate after he/she successfully completes 12 group award credits from prescribed course units.

Second Year

- The Programme is distributed to three semesters, the duration of each semester is 12 weeks

- The number of teaching Units in this period will be 15.

- After the completion of the Programme the student will be awarded Higher National Diploma (HND)

A student receives this Diploma after he/she successfully completes 18 group award credits from prescribed course units.

Third Year (Bachelor degree)

Objective

To give Muscat College HND graduates an opportunity to achieve their Bachelor's degree.

Mode of study

Step 1: Third Year Bachelor's degree programme will be on a 2 Semester basis. First Semester begins in September and the Second Semester in February. Following successful completion of this Programme, graduates will achieve a three-year Bachelor's degree.

Step 2: On completion of Third Year Bachelor's degree programme students can progress to a Fourth year programme to achieve a Bachelor's degree with Honours.

Affiliation

Programmes of study are delivered in collaboration with University of Stirling, Scotland UK. The University of Stirling has designed all programmes.

Admissions

The University will recognize as suitably qualified to register for a three-year Bachelor's degree, students of the College who have successfully completed an HND with appropriate subject units.

English is the medium of instruction. Students undertake the Foundation Year if the result of their English Language Placement Test falls below the required standard.
